Here is another beauty at a great price that will add to anyone’s collection. We have not tasted this vintage but have been big time Januik fans. Someone had been asking me for more Syrah and this struck me as the finest quality at a reasonable price point. There are only a few cases but have at it.

Januik Syrah Columbia Valley Lewis Vineyard 2007

Bright and juicy. A lively style of syrah, with red and black fruits competing for attention on a medium-weight frame, picking up tobacco notes on the refined finish. Drink now through 2014. 416 cs made. –HS

The 2007 Syrah Lewis Vineyard delivers an enticing nose of smoked meat, game, lavender, and blue fruits. Dense, layered, and opulent, it is fleshy enough to approach now but will improve with several years of cellaring.

All Mike Januik does is make good wine, year after year, without a lot of fanfare or glitz. 91 Points – Wine Advocate
